I have always specialized in deep therapeutic massage and learning Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy allowed me to add a whole new dimension to my ability to address clients issues. I have been practicing Ashiatsu for 5 years and it is a powerful tool for chronic back pain, I just love it!

Living in Denver has allowed me to study directly under the founder for all of my training in both the modality and instruction. I am also a Thai practitioner and was given the tremendous privilege of assisting Ruthie in her development of a new Ashiatsu fusion modality, called Ashi-Thai. I was honored to be trained by her as an instructor on her team and teach a modality I am passionate about. I look forward helping you open your eyes to a whole new massage experience!

Class Descriptions

Barefoot Basics ©
Introductory - 3 days - 25 CE - $595
Pre-requisite: Therapist understands anatomy and physiology.

This 3 day introductory course is designed to teach massage professionals how to administer the ultimate barefoot effleurage application. The parallel bars suspended from the ceiling are used for balance, control and leverage. During this class, therapists will be trained in one footed posterior protocols and be shown how to safely complete the treatment by balancing the client back to a homeostatic state of well being.  You do not have to take advance classes to deliver a one hour luxurious deep tissue massage.

Barefoot Anterior/Side-Lying Workshop
1 day - 8 CE - $199
Pre-requisite: Therapist understands anatomy and physiology. Must have completed Barefoot Basics class.

This course is usually taught right after barefoot basics for convenience and is designed to be a continuation of the sequences taught during barefoot basics.

But it’s really two (2) courses for the price of one.

The Anterior class is a continuation of the long effluerage strokes taught in barefoot basics on the anterior of the body to create a complete treatment.

In the side-lying portion of the workshop  therapists will learn myofascial foot skills to spread and elongate the hip flexors and explore trigger point work done with the feet. Client assistance during the application is involved with multi-positioning to locate anterior, lateral, medial and sagittal muscles in relationship to surrounding structures and landmarks.

Ashi-Thai ©
2 Days – 16 CE  Credit Hours  $399.99
Anterior & Posterior Workshop
Pre-requisite:  Understanding of basic anatomy.

Ashi-Thai is an expression of traditional Thai techniques and exercises that have been modified to use with bars on the ceiling.  Ashi-Thai massage is performed fully clothed, without any oils or creams.

This flowing and rhythmic approach was developed for any body worker who prefers the table over a floor mat and wants to stretch and loosen their client before a massage.  In this workshop you will be guided through many manipulations while holding onto a bar for better stability, support and balance. The Ashi-Thai live interactive workshop has been divided into 2 different modules - The posterior module & the anterior module.  The combinations of techniques have been arranged following traditional energy lines and stretches for elongating and relieving tightness in commonly used muscles groups.
