Integrative Massage

Our Integrative Massage is our all-around massage. It is a  comprehensive blending of massage techniques into a unique session entirely customized to the client.  This is the perfect choice for those who aren't sure what they want/need or for someone who just has one or two areas that are a little sore but also want a relaxing whole body approach.

Swedish massage

This is your classic soothing massage.  This massage uses long gliding strokes to increase circulation and induce relaxation.  It will also help to decrease muscle toxins, improve flexibility while easing tension.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as "adhesions.")

Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular Therapy is the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system.  This will result in a significant decrease of pain in the effected area.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is geared toward athletes of every kind, from world class professionals to weekend warriors.  The massage focuses on a specific group of muscles associated with the athletes sport.  This massage promotes flexibility, removes fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries, and prepares them to compete at their absolute best.

Thai Yoga

Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient form of bodywork from Thailand.  This massage is done on a futon like floor mat instead of a massage table to accomodate the dynamic nature of this modality.  Often called "Lazy Man's Yoga" it incorporates passive stretching, acupressure, rhythmic compression and hot herbal compresses.  This massage is great for improving flexibility, decrease joint pain, and induce relaxation.  Perfect for after your hardest workouts.

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy

"Ashi" in Japanese is "foot" and "Atsu" means "pressure". This technique however is not a form of shiatsu, it is a massage done with the therapists feet using long fluid strokes along with deep compression.  It works whole  muscle groups as opposed to specific points within the muscle so while it remains a very deep massage the pressure is smooth and continuous.  It is especially good for low back pain.  Not recommended for pregnant women.

Hot Stone Massage

This massage uses sleek heated basalt stones bathed in oil. The therapist uses the heated stones in place of their hands, allowing the smooth weight and heat of the rocks to easily and luxuriously melt tension in muscle tissue like butter. With long gliding strokes of warmth It is a deeply soothing and  relaxing form of massage.

Lymphatic Drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage is a form of massage therapy in which the practitioner tries to manipulate lymph flow. The practitioner does this by using gentle and rhythmic pumping techniques on the skin. They will do this to the skin in the direction that lymph flows.

Promotes healing - this can include healing of acute injuries, such as sprains and fractures, as well as long-term illnesses, such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Prevents illnesses - manual lymphatic drainage can not only heal illnesses and injuries that currently exist in the patient’s body, but it can also help the body prevent illnesses from occurring in the future.
Relaxation - just as with most forms of massage therapy, manual lymphatic drainage is a very relaxing therapy for the patient.
Helps with pregnancy - many pregnant women receive manual lymphatic drainage while they are pregnant because of the benefits it offers-it can reduce swelling and pain caused by carrying a baby.
Helps heal the skin - it can do this in a variety of ways, including helping to heal burns and scars, as well as reducing stretch marks.
Promotes overall well-being - by reducing swelling, reducing pain, increasing immunity, and healing or helping many illnesses, manual lymphatic drainage is thought to increase the overall well-being of its patients.

Dry Body Brushing

Dry Body Brushing -- is a simple technique that stimulates blood and lymph flowexfoliates the skin, and encourages new cell growth.  This is a great technique to add to any massage treatment to receive the benefits of a salt or sugar scrub with out the mess.  Takes just 5-10 additional minuets.

Body brushing helps our lymphatic drainage system to remove toxins from the body. In doing so it helps to reduce cellulite in our thighs and hips where fats and waste products tend to accumulate.  Body brushing is not a miracle cure for cellulite, but it can help.

Hot Herbal Steam Treatments

Treat yourself to hot steam infused with essential oils and therapeutic herbs. The steam is contained inside the canopy while your head stays cool and comfortable outside.  Followed by a relaxing massage
Helps to:

  • Increase metabolism
  • Boost your immune system
  • Decrease muscle fatigue
  • Improve sleep

This treatment is wonderful to help relax and unwind the body, and is highly therapeutic, supporting your immune system and deeply relaxing tight muscles.

Add a Dry Body Brush to the begging of the treatment to experience the benefits of a body scrub and to have silky soft glowing skin.

The Royal Treatment

This is called the royal treatment because it is just that.  The treatment begins with a Dry Body Brush to the whole body to stimulate lymph flow and remove dead skin cells.  This is followed by a Hot Herbal Steam Treatment including a face massage performed with cold stones as a nice counter point to the steam. The treatment is completed by a Four Hand Massage - two therapist working simultaneously in synchronization.  You loose track of where you are, your mind quiets while your body is set free.  This is truly a royal treatment.

Total Treatment time 2 hours

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage is a relaxing massage geared towards helping women with some of the discomforts, aches and pains during pregnancy.  Positioning is everything in prenatal massage so we have a variety of bolstering options  depending on individual comfort and how far along the pregnancy is.  Early term can be supported with simple pillow placement but as gestation progresses we have a specific support cushion for late term women that allows a mother-to-be to relax comfortably on her stomach - taking all of the pressure off of the back without any pressure on the baby.

Prenatal Massage can help to:

  • Eases backaches, headaches, shoulder and neck aches that may be caused by muscle tension and shifts in posture to accommodate increasing weight
  • Decreases pain in the pelvic/hip area
  • Increases circulation
  • Improves digestion
  • Reduces fatigue
  • Improves skin elasticity that can help reduce stretch marks
  • Helps reduce swelling in such places as hands and lower legs
  • Can alleviate the stress on weight-bearing joints, like the knees, which are impacted by the extra weight of a growing baby
  • Promotes relaxation and deep breathing
  • Helps stabilize hormone levels by lessening anxiety

This massage is best done in 90 minute sessions
